Ranthambhore National Park
Visit Ranthambore National Park if you love animals and want to witness them in their natural setting. It is the greatest location in India to see mighty predators in their native environment. The biggest and most well-known national park in northern India is Ranthambore National Park, sometimes referred to as Best Tiger Friendly Land. This location is essential to visit if you wish to have an unforgettable experience with amiable tigers. Once the hunting ground of the Jaipur Maharajas, it is now the most popular tourist destination, known as the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve Area.

Jaipur is about 170 kilometers away from this national park. Away from the bustling metropolis, it is the ideal tranquil location. The largest remaining entire dry deciduous forest in India is found at this location. The park is laid out in the style of a bygone period. It is encircled by numerous sources of water, which offer the forest's occupants great respite from the intense heat. This location has an amazing, fascinating, distinct, and varied natural flavor. This location is ideal for unwinding and appreciating because of the various species, flora, and wildlife, as well as the cliffs, hills, valleys, and plateaus.

A park is a beautiful area all around. Both the vegetation and the climate are distinct in their own right. There are about 320 different species of birds, both migratory and resident. The main draws for tourists are the forty mammal species and the over thirty-five types of reptiles. The park is home to a variety of wild cats, including jungle cats, rusty-spotted cats, caracals, and leopards, in addition to tigers. There have also been tales of leopard cats and fisher cats. This area is frequently home to sambhar, wild boar, Indian wild cats, jackals, and incredibly rare wolves. This area has a great population of birds, both inhabitants and migrants, due to the varied topography and quantity of water bodies.

However, because of the arid climate here, amphibians do not do well. Even during the day, tigers—known as the park's kings—can be plainly seen hunting or tending to their young. There is a great diversity of plants in the Ranthambore National Park. This area is rich in vegetation and animals due to the abundance of water. Plant species come in about 300 different varieties. Because the region is a part of the desert, it doesn't get much rainfall. This explains why this park has more deciduous trees. The area features plateaus, moderate slopes, hills, steps, and perennial lakes. And for that reason, this location is home to such a wide diversity of flora. The Dhok species is compromised in 80% of the region.

History of Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore National Park is one of the most renowned and well-known tiger lands. It is the only and biggest national park in the world, with numerous types of species, flora, and fauna. The Ranthambore National Park got its name from the Ranthambore Fort, which is in the middle of the jungle. This fort witnessed the major history and changes of this park. Before independence, there was extensive forest cover on the Indian subcontinent. But with the increasing population and industrialization, the forest was badly exploited. And with the shrinking forest, the wildlife of the country also started shortening. This became a source of concern for the nation, resulting in strict rules and policies for Ranthambore Park. Ranthambore National Park was previously privately owned by the Maharajas of Jaipur.

Until 1955, it was an exclusive and popular hunting ground for Jaipur’s royal family. And after that, it was declared "Sawai Madhopur Sanctuary." But due to the constant fall in the numbers of tigers, in the year 1973, the sanctuary was declared under the project Tiger to protect the tigers. More strict policies and rules were formulated to make Project Tiger a success. And then the major rule came in the year 1980, when 282.03 sq. km of this sanctuary was declared a national park. After this, the collection of forest produce by the government was reduced. And then, in 1983, an adjacent north side of the land was named Kela Devi Sanctuary. Similarly, 130 sq km in 1984 were declared Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary.
